The Story Behind Coffee
Tefese

Produced by Tefese Ya'u and his family in Hora Ela village, Chiri district, Sidamo, Ethiopia. On their farm, they grow 74110, 74112, and local varieties, integrated among false banana and other fruit trees.

Natural process that concentrates the fruit:
Ripe cherries are hand-picked during harvest and dried whole on raised beds for approximately 15 days. Afterwards, the coffee is locally processed in Chiri before traveling to Addis Ababa for export.

🌋 High-altitude terroir:
Chiri, Sidamo, Ethiopia, at approximately 2,000 m.a.s.l. The high altitude promotes slower cherry ripening and contributes to the aromatic intensity and complexity of the cup.

👥 Producer and traceability:
This coffee comes directly from Tefese Ya'u, whose farm is located in Hora Ela. Tefese and his family are responsible for hand-picking and drying the coffee, offering very specific traceability back to the producer.

🍓 Sensory profile:
An intensely fruity and floral cup, with notes of blueberry and strawberry, accompanied by orange blossom and rose.

🌱 Varieties:
74110, 74112 and local varieties (landraces).

🎯 Quality:
87.5 SCA.
