🌱 Finca El Paraíso – Coffee with purpose from the heart of Quindío

From the slopes of Finca El Paraíso comes coffee cultivated with technical rigor and respect for the environment. This lot is born from conscious agriculture, where every detail matters:

☕ Selective harvesting and meticulous process :
Only cherries at optimal ripeness are harvested; they are packed at GrainPro and transported to the La Pradera processing center. There, manual sorting and flotation are performed to remove low-density fruit. The coffee undergoes 30 hours of submerged fermentation , is pulped, washed, and dried in a controlled manner (raised beds/Elbas station) to 9.5–11% moisture, typically in around 12 days .

💧 Water sustainability :
The wash water is recycled for new floats and the wastewater is treated with a green filtration system that includes tanks and vetiver beds, preventing polluting discharges.

🌋 Terroir and climate :
Altitude 1,300–1,450 m , volcanic ash soils, temperature 16–28 °C and rainfall 1,400–1,500 mm , conditions that favor clean sweetness, bright acidity and structure.

🌿 Variety and agronomic management :
Caturra (a Bourbon mutation) is a compact variety planted at high density. On the farm, priority is given to soil maintenance , disease prevention , and crop diversification with cassava and lemon to balance the production system.

🤝 Quality and consistency :
Technical collaboration with Cofinet to refine processes and standardize batches. Reference cupping score: 87.5 .
