In the heart of the municipality of Algeciras, in Huila, we find El Suspiro: a home and life project of coffee grower Ricardo Lizcano.
Ricardo's history on this farm is deeply linked to his botanical choice: the Caturra variety. This plant, which historically was one of the most important in Colombia, continues to occupy a central place in El Suspiro. As more resistant varieties appeared, Ricardo decided to protect and cultivate this lineage, convinced that it is there that Caturra truly shines.
For Ricardo, excellence begins long before processing: it is born in the care of the coffee plants and in the exclusive harvesting of cherries at their optimal point of ripeness. El Suspiro thus reflects his dedication and his commitment to preserving a historic variety of Colombian coffee, cultivated with care, patience, and profound respect for the land.
